Vivo could unveil the X Fold S in X Fold Plus moniker, as per a tipster. The key specifications have been revealed as the foldable handset appears on the China 3C certification website. The phone is tipped to draw power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and feature a 2K LTPO display panel.

A noted tipster took to Weibo to share a report which suggests that the Vivo X Fold S will be unveiled inder X Fold Plus branding. The key specifications have also been leaked by the tipster ahead of the official announcement. The foldable phone is tipped to carry a quad camera module on the back which could include a 50 megapixel main lens along with a 48 megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, 12 megapixel portrait lens and an 8 megapixel telephoto shooter while on the front, it could house a 16 megapixel lens for selfies and video calls.

A previously shared report suggests that the phone could come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chipset and it could be backed by a 4,700 mAh battery that supports 80 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless charging. The Vivo X Fold Plus is said to be the successor to the Vivo x Fold that debuted this year in April.

The Vivo X Fold Plus had appeared on the China 3C certification website earlier with V2229A as model number. The listing hinted towards a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and a 2K LTPO display panel with a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz; however, the company hasn’t confirmed any of this information yet so we should take it with a pinch of salt and wait for an official announcement.
